What happened to the Junior Band Red Vest?

While most would agree that the red and white uniform looked stunning, it was becoming an onerous task to find white shoes and white dress pants. The grey kilts were also becoming increasingly expensive. With the new millennium fast approaching, the present-day black skirts/pants became the standard uniform in the fall of 1998.
