The Barrie Central Collegiate Band
Doug Hall
In 1985, Doug Hall, a former student of W.A. Fisher, began teaching music at Central. Doug played trombone in the band from 1967 to 1970 and says without question that the impact of Dr. Fisher and the music program cannot be overestimated in his life. He and wife Anne Ramsay, who also taught at Barrie Central received accolades for the fantastic musical show during Central's 150th Birthday celebrations in 1993.
During his eight years at Central, Hall traveled with the band to Ottawa, Calgary, California, Boston and Chicago.
